The LGT Bank in Liechtenstein invited 40 children from the Chernobyl to spend a day in the CSIO in St. Gallen. For many children who have only seen horses on television this visit was an extraordinary experience. The children had come to Switzerland to take part in a three-week exchange project in the Pestalozzi Children's Village in Trogen where they met Swiss school classes and joined workshops on intercultural communication and children's right. The project was developed in cooperation with our Russian partner – the private charity organisation Radimichi – and will help children from the Chernobyl region to develop perspectives for the future. «This sustainable approach is in line with LGT's corporate philosophy», explains S.D. Prince Philipp von und zu Liechtenstein, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, during the course. Sustainable long-term approaches govern the company’s wealth and asset management services as well as its philanthropic engagement to bring about lasting improvements in the quality of life of disadvantaged people in developing countries. The children will never forget this extraordinary day in their lives.
The LGT Group is an internationally active wealth and asset management firm domiciled in Vaduz (Liechtenstein). It has been fully owned by the Princely House of Liechtenstein for over eighty years.
