International Summer Camp 2019

Take action and change the world

From 7 to 20 July 2019 160 youths from 8 countries meet in Trogen for our International Summer Camp 2019. Be a part of the Swiss delegation of this intercultural camp.

Fridays for future, article 13, women's strike: At the moment many young people get together and stand up for a better future. What this future should look like and what you can do to make it happen is one of many things we discuss this summer in our International Summer Camp in Trogen. 160 youths from eight European countries are expected to join us at the Pestalozzi Children's Village – a very international and intercultural group. Are you born in 2002 or 2003 and do you live in Switzerland? Be a part of the Swiss delegation of the Summer Camp and register now. You will have an unforgettable time with us.

You will spend exciting and eventful days during your two weeks of Summer Camp. The first week is all about different workshops you and your fellow Campees will attend. The topics of the workshops are

  • Freedom and security
  • Critical use of Media
  • Migration
  • Take action
  • Racism and diversity
  • Global challenges

In the second week you can offer your own Summer Camp workshop about a topic of your choosing. Or you take part in a workshop one of your new friends is offering. A group of youths will also function as the camp journalists and publish a paper, broadcast radio news and shoot films for everybody to watch. So if you're interested in how to be a journalist, you can gain first experiences with us.

Leasure time is as important to us as our workshops. You live in a camp house with youths from other nations. Between and after the workshops there is enough time for games and sports: We offer beach volleyball, basketball, football and more. And if you're more of a chill out type you will soon discover a million places to read and just be. In our Youth Club you can be creative and draw, paint, play music... In the evenings, the groups from different countries organise an evening program where you can learn more about the music, the food and the culture of different nations. And on the weekends you will all discover Eastern Switzerland by going on excursions together.

Learn more about what you will experience during your two weeks of Summer Camp by taking a look at our provisional International Summer Camp schedule.

Don't miss this unique opportunity to meet people from different countries, to improve your English and to take action and change the world. Register now for Pestalozzi Children's Foundation's International Summer Camp. We look forward to seeing you this summer here in Trogen.
