Generous donation from Maag Pump Systems AG to the Children’s Village

On a sunny winter day, Urs Maag, Chief Financial Officer of the company, presented a cheque of CHF 10,000 to Urs Karl Egger, Executive Director of the Foundation.
Urs Maag travelled from Oberglatt in Zurich, where Maag Pump Systems AG is headquartered, to Trogen in the canton of Appenzell in order to deliver the donation in person. When he arrived at the Children’s Village, he had the chance to immerse himself virtually in an education project in Tanzania: the 360° film produced by the Foundation allows visitors to experience school life at a Tanzanian school almost first-hand.
Cheque presentation in snow and ice
Afterwards, Urs Maag received a tour of the Children’s Village in frosty temperatures, snow and brilliant sunshine. The company, which manufactures geared pumps on a global scale, attaches great importance to quality education. As he presented the cheque of CHF 10,000, Urs Maag emphasised: «Good education and training, an understanding of other cultures and a healthy dose of curiosity are important building blocks in personal development. The Pestalozzi Children’s Village offers great projects that promote these values in the children’s upbringing. Supporting the Pestalozzi Children’s Foundation is a matter very close to our hearts.» The Foundation would like to express its sincere gratitude for the generous donation!
