Coronavirus: Pestalozzi Children’s Village closed until 19th April
Trogen – Due to the rapid spread of the Coronavirus, Switzerland is currently in an extraordinary situation. Following the press conference on the Coronavirus held by the Swiss government, the Pestalozzi Children’s Foundation shall act in solidarity and implement the appropriate measures. Pestalozzi Children’s Village will consequently remain closed to the public from Wednesday, 18th March until Sunday, 19th April and only minimal services will be undertaken in the Children's Village.
The Pestalozzi Children’s Foundation has followed the government’s recommendations on social distancing and remote work. «As a responsible employer, we are not only responsible for ensuring the safety of our individual employees, but also for doing our part to prevent the spread of the virus,» says the president of the foundation board, Rosmarie Quadranti.
The Pestalozzi Children’s Foundation regrets this decision, but unfortunately there is no other viable solution during this current situation.
