Pestalozzi Children's Village feeling at Swissdidac

Switzerland's largest educational meeting place - Swissdidac - is history. For three days, one highlight followed another. Our radio bus and the children and young people who breathed life into the bus and our stand took centre stage.

The silver radio bus from powerup_radio was proudly enthroned on the green grass carpet in the middle of Hall 3. Accompanied by music, the red seats and tables, together with the grass and bus, brought a little bit of the Pestalozzi Children's Village into the hall of the BERNEXPO site. All that was missing was a traditional Appenzell house from the village.

At the stand, the foundation's employees advised new and familiar faces about the educational projects in Switzerland. A wide range of discussions resulted in many bookings for upcoming exchange and radio projects in 2024 and 2025, a very satisfactory result for the Projects Switzerland team. During all three days, powerup_radio broadcast live from the fair. The radio was taken over by schoolchildren from the Bern region. They presented live, interviewed guests on the radio bus and went to the whole of Swissdidac in search of voices. The radio bus was not only an eye-catcher, but also a magnet for visitors, who listened with interest. For Florian Karrer, Head of Radio Projects, the fair was a complete success:

I am delighted that our programme has been so well received for more than 17 years now, and that it fully reflects the zeitgeist of media education among teachers and school administrators.
