Youth Conference 2025: Experience democracy

From 1 to 5 December 2025, young people will meet at the Pestalozzi Children's Village for a unique parliamentary simulation. As part of the youth conference, they will experience what it is like to take on responsibility, help shape the community and contribute their own ideas.

The pupils from St. Gallen deal intensively with topics such as democracy, children's rights, sustainable development and empowerment - guided by experienced educators from the Pestalozzi Children's Village and the St. Gallen University of Teacher Education. In addition to political education, the week offers space for joint learning, classroom development and new contacts beyond school boundaries, and

at the end of the conference, the actions developed are not only discussed, but also implemented in the schools, school communities or neighbourhoods - political education and democratic participation can be actively experienced at the youth conference.
