This week focuses on political education. However, by staying in a house in the Pestalozzi Children's Village in Trogen, the young people are also given the time and space to develop as a class and make contacts beyond the boundaries of the school community.
another aim of the youth conference is for the classes to prepare actions during these five days, discuss them with representatives from politics and administration and ultimately implement them in their schools, school communities or neighbourhoods. The parliamentary situation therefore does not end with mere demands to third parties - but leads to genuine commitment with the intention of multiplying political education.
For the third implementation from 1 to 5 December 2025, we are giving around six upper school classes from the cantons of SG, AR and AI the opportunity to become part of this unique experience. If you are considering taking part or would like to apply to take part, please contact our co-project manager:
Pädagogische Hochschule St. Gallen, Fachstelle Demokratiebildung und Menschenrechte PHSG, Mr Nicolai Kozakiewicz.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact him or us. Further information can also be found in the factsheet "Good to know".
