On 18 May 2025, the Pestalozzi Children's Village will be opening its doors as part of International Museum Day and inviting visitors to enjoy a varied and creative experience from 10:00 to 17:00. A day on which history and the present come together in a creative way.
Museums like that of the Pestalozzi Children's Village are more than just places of exhibition or remembrance. They create spaces for cultural exchange, promote mutual understanding and make a valuable contribution to cooperation and peaceful coexistence. The motto of this year's Museum Day The Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Communities is intended toemphasise the importance of museums in a time of profound social, technological and ecological change.

As a place of social and cultural exchange, the Pestalozzi Children's Village invites you to take part in a varied programme as part of International Museum Day. Guests can look forward to exciting guided tours that allow them to experience the spirit of the Children's Village at first hand, as well as providing insights into the history and work of the foundation.
11.00 a.m. marks the opening of the creative play lounge for younger guests, who can design their own 3D pictures. A varied programme of games and exploration opportunities awaits those keen to discover. For a well-earned break, the cafeteria with its cosy terrace invites you to linger with delicious snacks, freshly baked cakes and refreshing drinks.

Admission to the Children's Village on Museum Day is free of charge. All guests are welcome to visit the International Museum Day without prior registration or reservation.
