Symposium on digital outreach youth work

On 10 February 2026, a conference on digital outreach youth work and extremism prevention will take place at the Pestalozzi Children's Village. The conference is organised by digitalstreetwork.ch and is aimed at youth work professionals and other interested parties. The aim is to clarify key terms and concepts, exchange practical experience and promote professional dialogue.

Morning: Impulses from science and practice

StreetworkOnline; Digital.online; virtual youth work; outreach-virtual youth work; digital youth work - countless terms. Behind some terms are already elaborated concepts, others are vague word formations with diverse attributions. This keynote will attempt to organise words and concepts in order to create a common basis for further discussion at the conference.

Body and space: points of reference in digital outreach work

There are numerous approaches and possibilities for organising outreach work in digital contexts. This input sheds light on various perspectives on ideas of space and body-related concepts that can provide impetus for the further development of practice.

Do we already have everything? Social work methods in radicalisation prevention

There is now a consensus that social work methods can provide great added value in the prevention of radicalisation. This article briefly explains that this has not always been the case and presents methods that can be particularly relevant.

In the afternoon, two workshops on technical and media education approaches will be offered. The programme will be complemented by informal discussions and a guided tour of the Pestalozzi Children's Village.
